My editing fees are set per hour, following a free initial online consultation about your needs. Every project is different; however, as an average example, a well-argued and structured 80,000-word PhD thesis would require between 35 and 50 hours of copy editing work (£1400-£2000).

My writing fees are set per project depending upon the scope, complexity, research required, word count and hours it will take to complete. We will agree on a fee after a free initial online consultation to determine what is most appropriate for your project. Below are some example fees.

relational design, valuation & evaluation

My design, valuation and evaluation fees are set at a flat rate of £160 [$200/€180] per hour. I will design a program that meets your needs, which may include elements such as meetings and check-ins, material gathering, analysis, educational or facilitation work, the creation of materials and reports, writing website content and support with preparation for presentations or facilitation. My day rate is £1000 ($1200/€1100), including preparation.

Curriculum and educational resource design

My curriculum and educational resource design fees are set at a flat rate of £160 [$200/€180] per hour. This may includes elements such as meetings and check-ins, material gathering, the creation of materials and support with preparation for presentations or facilitation.

1-1 sessions

My 1-1 session fees are set per hour and at flat rates, which we agree upon following an initial free online consultation about your needs. Below are some example fees.

contract and payment practices

Everything starts when you contact me and we arrange a free online or phone consultation about your project and needs. When we know what’s needed, I will send you a project proposal including the organizing principles of our relationship, the work to be completed, a timeline and schedule of meetings, our mutual responsibilities and the fee. We’ll then each sign a contract before I begin the work.

I require payment upfront. However, if we are working together for the first time, you can choose to pay half of the fee before we begin and the remainder when I finish the work.

sliding fee scale

I offer a sliding fee scale to make my services as accessible as possible and to reflect the reality of global, historical and systemic economic inequality. I ask that you pay the full fee if you can, especially if you benefit from accumulated privilege and wealth, are sufficiently salaried and have access to institutional resource or disposable income. This allows me to continue doing this work and covers the costs of those who have less access to material wealth and cannot afford to pay the full fee. If you cannot afford to pay the full fee, please contact me to discuss your needs.

If you have benefitted from my work and want to help me work with others who have less access to material wealth, please consider making a donation that will make this possible. I use this money solely for the purposes of redistributing our resources.
